Ravita is a 37 year old mother with a teenage son and daughter holding many aspirations for their success. When her daughter attended our community program on mental hygiene, Ravita joined in. Not only did she support her child but also personally benefitted. She sought guidance for herself, where we provided her with counselling on how to enhance her communication with her children. Not only did her connection with her children improve, but her daughter (now 14 years) is overjoyed with the renewed love and comfort she experiences with her mother, just as she did when she was 5. At IEC, we regularly provide counselling and guidance sessions, so parents can be supported to build better connection with their children. Research suggests that having close connection with parents through our teen years can boost our resilience and prevent future illnesses.We, at IEC specialize in preventive mental health care.
